Whether you’re hitting the ground (physically or symbolically) or not, it can be painful, and you may not even know how to get back up again.

However, if you let it, optimism can save you and lift you back to the top of the mountain.

There will always be setbacks and more setbacks.

A small percentage of the population goes through life acting as if they will never fail, and that group is way overconfident!
Failure is inevitable, and you must be prepared for it.
Even though every step you take could result in a fall, instead of dreading this, embrace it.

What’s the worst that may happen if you fall?
When you stumble, you get back up and move on.

Isn’t it less frightening to fall now that you know what will happen?
You have to get back up to learn a valuable lesson.

You will stumble and fall short of your goals, but don’t let that scare you.
What’s the point of dreading it if you can’t enjoy what it offers?

Having a positive outlook can help you in all aspects of your life.

You may believe that you can switch to optimism whenever you feel down, but this is a dangerous misconception.
Because so many individuals in today’s environment are pessimistic, it’s essential to use your inherent optimism.

As a bonus, it can even alter your outlook on life.
The book You Can’t Afford the Luxury of a Negative Thought contains an excellent exercise that demonstrates this point.
During the activity, you are asked to identify five bad aspects of a location or the environment you are currently in. Afterward, you record your feelings, and the answer will be pessimistic.

When you’re back in the same place, list five things you like about it.
That’s when you re-record your feelings. The second time around, you’ll feel better about where you are. While the area or surroundings haven’t changed, only what you’re focusing on has altered your sentiments.

Imagine how much better your life would be if you practiced this in all areas of your life instead of dwelling on the bad?

This method cannot eliminate negative thoughts, but they can be driven to be addressed.

Try it for a week and watch how your mental health responds to catching and replacing negative thoughts with good ones.

Self-Sacrifice Is Your Only Option

Don’t be scared to look for the silver lining when you’re at your lowest point.
Positivity won’t solve all of your problems, but it will spur you to climb out of your current rut and begin going in the right direction.
Increasing your level of optimism in the real world will assist you in avoiding falling.

Be optimistic, even if you don’t see its point, and see where it takes you.
The more you use it, the more it may benefit you.
